North Carolina Railroad Exhibit, Burlington, NC

Exhibit in the Burlington Station

This exhibit tells the story of the first railroad in NC and its impact on the state. We constructed the fronts of two full-size locomotives: one after the front of an American 4-4-0 and one of a current GE Dash9. We also created a highly-detailed model showing the locomotive complex in the late 1800’s, and detailed kiosks telling the story in this public space that was once an engine house.
